About the Author
Betz White is a renowned felter and "green" crafter who previously worked as a children's wear designer for Land's End and Carter's. Her work is sold online and in boutiques around the world and has been featured on Martha Stewart's television show, in Country Living, Adorn and knit.1 magazines, and on numerous craft podcasts. Her first book, Warm Fuzzies: 30 Sweet Felted Projects, was published by North Light in Autumn 2007. She lives in North Potomac, Maryland. Visit her website at www.betzwhite.com. This is the book to get you sewing.It is written in a very user friendly fashion, all the projects are possible and the articles about eco-conciousness are inspiring.There is a pattern sheet tucked into the back of the book, which is a great help to beginners like me. Most of the sewing is done with up-cycled materials, with loads of information on how to do it. I have enjoyed converting old tableclothes, pillowcases and sweaters into funky, very wearable clothes, each one unique.In this world of mass production, Sewing Green offers a real alternative.

A fantastic book from Betz White. Full of inspirational and original ideas., much like her other book, Felt So Good (Warm Fuzzies in the US).
The focus of this book is on recycled and organic materials, which is appealing and follows a conciousness that it already being shown in the craft community. I love this book. Gorgeous photos and great ideas.
