This was a present bought for a friend, who is a keen sewer and we both thought this book clear, useful and good value for money.

Sewing tools & notions are collected by more people than you might imagine. They're an intimate connection with those who used them long ago. This book is a clear, introductory guide to the types of antique sewing accessories, how they were used, and what to look for when you buy them today. As an experienced collector I learned a few things, too. Excellent photos.
