5.0 out of 5 stars A Real Must, 9 Aug 2009
By
This review is from: Sew in a Weekend: Curtains, Blinds and Valances (Paperback)
I've never made curtains before but this book is so fantastic I've now made curtains and blinds. The instructions are very comprehensive and easy to follow from simple curtain dressing to the more elaborate. Includes detailed instructions on how to measure, cut, sew and hang curtains and blinds also details of pelmets and tie backs. A real must for anyone who wants to start making curtains.

4.0 out of 5 stars Anyone can do it!, 6 Jun 2000
By Mary - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Sew in a Weekend: Curtains, Blinds and Valances (Paperback)
This book is an invaluable source for fresh window dressing ideas, as well as old favorites, that can be easily constructed using the clear, detailed instructions. The drawings and photos really clear up any confusion, too. I loved the "materials list" because it usually reminded me of some item I would have forgotten at the fabric store! Even though I have sewn many window treatments, the "Tips" always solved some problem before it messed up my project! I highly recommend this book for both the novice and the professional who is looking for some fresh ideas.
