We are very impressed with this product. The build quality is very good (well it is German after all)and its performance is flawless.
I would recommend to anyone buying this product to purchase the second set of jars - with the second set it makes life so easy and ensures a continious supply of fresh yoghurt.
We used Yeo Valley Organic Natural Probiotic Yogurt to start the yoghurt maker off and so far we have been making a batch daily for two months and it's still turning out great.
For milk we are using Tesco, COOP or Morrisons 100% British UHT whole milk at around 60p per litre - this seems to work the best for us producing a very thick & creamy yoghurt each time. Overall a great product turning out first-class yoghurt each and every time.

A very simple yet very efficient yoghurt maker though would benefit from having an automatic timer - this is very easily remedied by using a timer plug which you can preset for the appropriate setting time. It was well worth purchasing an additional set of jars as you can be making the next batch of yoghurt so that it is ready for use when you finish the previous batch. The instructions supplied with the yoghurt maker are limited, but after consulting Delia Smith's cookery bookComplete Illustrated Cookery Course ( Classic Edition ) I was quickly able to make greek style, thick yoghurt, which is absolutely delicious!!!!

If you haven't got an AGA or a walk-in pantry like Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall and Nigella Lawson,this is the answer!You too can `live the dream'and make scrumptious home made yoghurt .It is very simple.Add live yoghurt culture to milk,milk powder if you want it thicker,stir,pour in the jars and wait.Find the recipe that you like and never spend money on shop bought again.I no longer buy low-fat yoghurts so have saved a fortune.
This product can not be faulted.The jars are excellent and look good and are much better than the plastic pots I used to buy which were not suitable for recycling.The jars fit well on a fridge shelf and look like expensive boutique pots.The yoghurt maker fits easily on the worktop and makes the yoghurt quickly and consistently.
