Format:Audio CD
Man,what a brilliant effort by crowbar.I have only listened to it once but absolutely loving it.
Musically the album is very different from the last album lifesblood ..
This album combines the best of earlier,as in very early crowbar in terms of the straight in your face heaviness and playing style but importantly combines the melody and agonizing downtune and slowness of odd fellows rest.
The most important factor here is Kirk's Vocal.He has always been good and unique but he has definitely found a second wing.It is more powerful and refined as the album goes through straight in the face punk inspired brutality and heavy doom.
All in all this album is a grower and it is going to be one of the best Metal releases of this year...
To Quote Kirk,"I may be old and fat,but I will give you a lesson in Slow and Heavy!!".

Unlike the other reviewer I didn't fall in love with this album from the first listen, although there are a few standout tracks. But after a week in the car stereo I can safely say I absolutely love this.
As with a lot of metal I think the vocals are the divisive thing. Some people love Kirk's voice, other's don't. But there is nothing divisive about the immense heaviness of the music that fills this CD which all true metal heads should appreciate. I can't think of another band that consistently comes up with such brutal riffs. Absolutely awesome.
And if you ever get the chance to see Crowbar live, do it.
