5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful paranormal romance 25 Dec 2011
By Annie
Format:Kindle Edition
Magical waterfalls, stained glass that can imprison souls, precious stones, a romantic love triangle. The Seven Spell, the third book in the saga, has it all.

A man dressed in medieval garb shows up at the Abbey Museum looking confused and talking in a French dialect only Tristan understands. The confused but amiable Gui is the first unexpected time traveler from the past, but he won't be the last.

In the meantime, Jack Dearing is determined to sell off part of the estate and cut out Tristan, who is the rightful lord of the manor. Chloe, Tristan and Oliver scramble to save the house and stables, while managing to conceal the truth from Jack. They are also trying to prevent any more visitors from the past from showing up in present day, with only partial success.

When a new lovely visitor steps out of the portal and possibly threatens the relationship between Tristan and Chloe, you will race to the end to find out what happens.

In this richly drawn paranormal saga, Stokes creates an incredible world that is at once ordinary and extraordinary. She writes beautifully realistic scenes that lead us from dreamlike magical imagery to spellbinding romantic entanglements in a heartbeat.

Her descriptions are deliciously rendered: "I picked up a green stone, it was like holding a piece of green water."

Once you immerse yourself in The Seven Spell, it casts its spell over you and you find yourself wanting to tumble into Chloe, Oliver and Tristan's world.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story Telling Continues 15 Mar 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
"The Seven Spell" is part three in the Seven Spell Saga by Tessa Stokes. This book picks right up where book 2 left off. In this book we learn a little bit more about Tristan while at the same time Chloe's feelings start to change in regards to both Tristan and Oliver. All three friends thought that all the magical doings with the waterfall and the seven spell were finally over yet their thoughts on that were wishful thinking. Some very strange things start to happen along with people seeming to be able to cross the time line that the waterfall had previous provided them. And if that were not enough someone is trying to rid the Dearing family of Tristan. Chloe, Tristan, and Oliver have to yet again put their dear stalker caps on and try to solve these strange mysteries before it's too late.

Ms. Stokes does an excellent job of taking the reader right into the lives of her characters. This story grabbed onto me right from the beginning and held onto me well past the end. If you have already read the first two books in this series, hurry and grab this one up, but if you have never read a Seven Spell book, then do yourself a favor and buy all three, you will not be disappointed, but you may lose a little sleep.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another fantastic addition to the series 8 Mar 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
So much going on in this book that it's hard to know where to start, and what not to put to avoid a spoiler. If you've read the first two in the series, then you'll adore this addition - and I would recommend you read them in order.
All the magic, romance and mystery, this time with the addition of some gentle comedy.
As the portal becomes a little wayward, Chloe, Oliver and Tristan struggle to cope with an influx of visitors from Norman times. How to either integrate them into the 21st century or get them back without causing a time paradox poses a unique challenge for the three friends, and the erratic nature of the portal only adds to the headache.
And as if that wasn't enough to cope with, Tristan's relatives become difficult, throwing money problems and legal issues into the equation - which when you're 800 years old with no believable documentation to support your claim can be somewhat awkward.
And of course the romance is as sizzling as ever. I enjoyed seeing Chloe start to lose a little of her innocence, and the gentle way the author shows her realising the effect she might be having on the two boys. She's much more sweet and innocent than I was at that age (or maybe I was just a teenage wild child).
So it's straight on to Book 4 for me. Can't wait to see what happens next.
