True Grit!!!!!!!!!!!!, 31 Oct 2009
What an amazing collective of sounds this album has. It has a touch of the Ramones and the New York Dolls with some of the finest punk riffs since the seventies. 'I think I like You' being only one of the stand out tracks on this opus, I would suggest you get in your most comfortable chair turn up the volumne and enjoy this, its as fine a indie/punk album as you will ever hear...........

...two man Blues army aflame with passion..., 10 May 2009
I was first swept away by The Black Box Revolution when I heard their "Live At The Ab" EP last year, and I've been waiting, anxiously, for this ever since.
The two men responsible for my anticipation - Belgians Dries Van Dijck on drums and Jan Paternoster on everything else - have enough fire, passion and energy in their punky take on the Blues to blow away the deepest set cobwebs. Straight from the off, on the fantastic `Love, Love Is On My Mind', they apply melody and aggression in equally quantities, giving you something to hum and something to bang your head to. Not an easy trick to pull off, but songs like `Gravity Blues', `Love Is In Your Head', `Cold Cold Hands' and the immense title track are just built for participation.
It's been mixed by a bloke who worked with Wolfmother and mastered by a White Stripes collaborator, something that should give you a rather hefty clue to their sound. It's been a while since any raw, ragged Blues blasted its way into the mainstream, but this could be the one to do it. A fantastic debut that deserves to the two man Blues army take the world by storm.

What a great L.P., that dates me! Haven't heard such energy and great hooks for a long time, I didn't realise the Belgians could rock so. Thoroughly recommended.
