I'm not usually a ministry cd fan but this ones wicked. Nice long mix. Worth the money.

The first disc of Meat Katie's Ministry of Sound mix was a real disappointment for me. It's all rather flat tech-house stuff, with very little in the way of breaks or variety- compared to some of Meat Katie's previous mixes I couldn't believe how uneventful and uninspired it sounded.
Thankfully disc 2 redeems it, pretty much. The second disc brings the big breaks names (Plump DJs, Uberzone, Vandal) and a bit of rock (Infadels, Late Of The Pier) and it just has more guts.
My advice would be to ignore disc one, and decide whether to buy this based on disc two alone. As I write this Amazon's selling it pretty cheap, so I'd say it's probably worth it, though it's not a classic.

First off, I have to give props to Amazon. Their selection of good breaks/electronica/dubstep etc. is really impressive and many times better then iTunes.
Having said that, Meat Katie is not always the greatest producer, but he is consistently top-notch as a DJ. This 2-disc set does not disappoint. Disc one is sort of minimalist-house-breaks (?) a little different from what Meat Katie is known for, but it is really a seamless, groovy set. Good background music for a funky cocktail party. Disc 2 returns to MK's more typical tech-breaks, and again, just an excellent set of songs, flawlessy mixed. This one is your popping-and-locking-in-your-Mitsubishi-Eclipse music.
Honestly, there really isn't a bad song out of the 36 on here.
