2.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing 21 Jan 2003
Format:VHS Tape
I don't want to knock the spirit of the cause but this DVD collection is, in my opinion, "very disappointing". An hour programme on a DVD which only manages to scratch the surface.

There are dozens upon dozens of memorable clips to choose from and, indeed many are featured, however they only show brief clips rather than the full sketches, which I would have expected on a DVD.

I mean you just get into something and it's whipped off prematurely by a grinning Mr.Hancock.

2.0 out of 5 stars Big opportunity missed 6 Dec 2002
Format:DVD
You would have thought these days that you could put more than an hour of material on a DVD. Especially when you've so many years material to choose from, when it comes to Comic Relief. On top of which less than 45 minutes of it are comedy. The rest is taken up by Nick Hancock's less than memorable links, a poor pop song or two (even though the Bananarama/French and Saunders collaboration was quite funny) and footage of Africa (however important to get the original message across this is totally inappropriate on this video as you've already paid the money and it's not the reason you bought it in the first place). They really could have taken a leaf out of Amnesty's book and included all the stuff that had already been released as with the Secret Policeman's Ball. A very disappointing exercise.

This quite rare for a compilation but it really is exactly what it says on the tin - seriously funny! with best bits from thousands of my favourite shows such as Men Behaving Badly and Fawlty Towers it is a fantastic way to cheer yourself up when the gloomy weather and the thought of AS Level exams in January makes you want to scream, chill out with Seriously Funny - it really works!!!
