If you, like me, enjoyed Rosamund Pilcher's book 'September', it would be best if you
keep clear of this shallow, badly scripted, very badly acted (though the cast includes some good actors) adaptation.
Of course it is rare that a film exceeds the book it is adapted from, but this is really a very strong example. Everything that was special, enjoyable and real in the original story is dropped in favour of a loud, confrontational, empty storyline with acting and directing suffering the burden of cliché after cliché.
There are maybe 2 lovely scenes (which you can find on youtube) and the photography of Scotland's highland views is magnificent, but otherwise this is a total waste of time and money.
