All royalties will be donated to disaster relief through AIDFund and AIDFund for America.

From the Back Cover

September 11, 2001. A day that shook the world and left thousands dead in the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, and in the Pennsylvania countryside. This book serves asa testament to those who lost their lives, to those who fought to save them, and to those who are endeavoring to rebuild.

The guiding principle in assembling these images was one of documenting scenes of endurance, resolve, and determination. Finding the pictures that capture courage and fortitude in the heat and the dust.

All royalties from this book will be donated to AIDFund and AIDFund for America, along with additional contributions from Reuters and from Pearson, the book's publisher.

This beautiful book not only pays tribute to those who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy and those suffering the aftermath, but also to the photographers, professional and amateur alike, whose images bear witness to the destruction and devastation left in its wake. Each photograph is accompanied by a short text, one sentence only in most cases, but the photographs speak for themselves. There is no sensationalism here, just poignant photographs that will have you reaching for the tissues before you even get half way. A moving tribute to all concerned.

I wasn't initially sure about buying this, but I am glad I did. The book does not seek to "dramatise" the horrific events of that day. The pictures speak for themselves. This "Testimony" serves to remind us all of a day we will never forget, indeed a day we should all remember.

The pictures are clear and pay tribute to the work of those who tried to rescue and save, rather than simply documenting explosions. The book's feel and quality are very good.

The photographs are superb, but very moving. The photographers seem to have captured so many people's trauma, but in a very respectful manner. I was on holiday in New York visiting my sister, brother in law and nephew when it all happened and we spent days watching everything live on TV. This book means I will never forget what so many people suffered that day.
