This is an excellent, sturdy introduction to electronics.
The components snap into place securely, and the whole appearance is attractive and rather "lego" like.
This particular kit was for a young girl of just 7 yrs who was immediately interested and anxious to have a go. It is easy to understand the principles behind the sounds and lights and we would highly recommend this kit.

Excellent present 6 Jan 2010
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Was bought as a present for my younger cousin, who absolutely loved this as it is just right for his age range as he was able to complete himself and was easy for him to grasp the different alarms and sensors he could create.

Would recommend to anyone who has a child interested in science. Definitely buy from again as A1 service. many thanks

Could do better 26 July 2009
By MLM
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
This kit allows the user to perform a number of experiments using sensors to cause a bell to ring or an LED to light. Unfortunately some of the circuits shown do not work and there are many other possible circuits that could be built. There is also a resistor in the kit that is not used in any circuit. One of the main components acts as a "black box" with inputs and outputs, but its nature is not described. It could be one or two transistors or an IC. Better component desciptions would allow the user to add to the kit and a handbook of circuits would be useful.
