I had almost given up trying to find a decent pair of headphones/earphones for using in the gym when I plummed for a pair of PX-10s. None of the in-ear types were up to the job with the operation of continually re-inserting 1st one ear and then the 2nd being more demanding than the workout itself.

Base is particularly good and all types of music are reproduced well. Any background noise is kept to a minimum and I would imagine that these phones are ideal for train or plane travel.

My only gripe, and it is only a small one, is the thickness of the cable which is a little on the thin side. That apart I'm very impressed and my only regret is the small pile of redundant earphones gathering dust in my back room.

I have strange ears apparently. Ear-bud phones fall out as soon as I move my head and in-ear phones, expensive and guaranteed to fit, simply don't fit in my minute child-like ear canals. I got a pair of these Sennheiser PX10s for Xmas. They are a revalation. They sit comfortably in the ear and the sound is rich and full. Obviously I logged on to the internet to see how much they were. I don't know where my girlfriend got them from but the most expensive place I could find them from had them at �16 (some places �10). I was staggered. The quality of the PX10s is such that I assumed that they would be at least twice as expensive. These really are fantastic and I will treasure them, unlike my cheapskate girlfriend!!

These are very light headphones. They seem durable and are comfortable. They produce clear sound that immerses one in music. For those who listen to the likes of Radio 4, voices are natural and draw you in. These produce a lot of sound and the inline volume control is very useful. I use these with an iPod nano and still have control of volume with these when the nano is locked.

These heaphones are dual cable. Just above the volume control they split and a cable is located in each earpiece. They can only really be used with the the cable in front of you. There is not enough cable to place it around your neck. This means the cable is left hanging in front of you down either side of your neck. Great for home headphones but not for portable ones. The cables can get in the way. If you can live with this then you'll have a good set of headpones.
