These were one of only a few headsets that seemed to meet my criteria, which were: Over ear hooks; Remote (with both volume and skip/pause/play controls) for my iphone 4; and microphone to take calls (I wasn't asking for much!).
However, despite these seeming ideal (the fact they they are Sennheiser also appealed), I decided that I should take heed of it's 2 star rating, and looked for something else.

I ended up buying a Philips SHQ3017/10 headset. They were ok but just didn't fit my ears, despite trying the various ear cushions, and so weren't giving a secure fit when I was running. My other smaller bug-bear with the phillips headset was that the skip button on the remote isn't distinctive enough from the volume buttons, especially when trying to control it during a work out. Thankfully I'd bought them from John Lewis, who have a great returns policy and took them back just on the basis that they didn't suit me.

So, I decided to take the plunge and buy these Sennheiser OMX680i's. They are PERFECT for me. I'm not particularly an audiophile, but I am fussy about quality, and the sound seems great to me. I would have been happy with it just being acceptable, so long as they fit, but the music sounds great with them.
The ear hooks are malleable, so you can mould the shape around your ear- fantastic. I had been just commenting to my friend recently that someone should make this a feature of headphones, and here it is.
It comes with a very good quality bag for the headphones, which also has a hole through which you can feed the headphones, and the bag then seals with a sturdy velcro seal. There is also a detachable clip which you can use to secure the wire to your clothes.... Read more ›

I bought this headset especially for workout using Android HTC Desire and Endomondo running Ap.

Pros:
- This is a sweat and water proof headset (supposedely)
- Ear hook fit well and headset does not move during sport
- Media button allows to request Endomondo audio coach feedback which is really great Emdomondo feature

Cons:
- Music quality is low average (a bit metallic and far away sound) but this was not a real problem for me considering qualities above.
- I bought it in march 2012, it started failing 5 months later. Firstly media control button became inoperant then one speaker lost power then the next one. Now in August it is totally out of order. I am running 4-5 time by week and sweating a lot (leaving in North East Brasil) but I bought this headset for this purpose.

Not sure what doing next : buying other brand like Jabra or buying a $5 headset and throwing it regulary.

I did read the reviews prior to purchasing these - I also already own Sennheiser head-phones and ear-buds so know what sound quality to expect. I'm afraid I have to say, that I was disappointed.

On a positive note, once the shape has been made to fit they never come off. The remote works flawlessly with the iPhone4. They are very light. They look great. When you push the speaker hard onto the ear canal, they sound great. However, that last point is the just problem... for me, they don't fit well enough to sit over the ear-canal properly and provide that fuller rich sound I'm used to from Sennheiser - sounding more like a �5 pair. Also, I found that they hurt after a while too.

I've come to the conclusion that it's a gamble buying hang-on earphones like these, because everyone has different sized and shaped ears. I've no doubt some people will love them and whilst it comes with different sized covers/pads to help, there is no one-fits-all product. I've returned mine and will try some which are still sports/hang-on ones, but ear-buds which go inside the ear canal instead.

I purchased this headset to use with my HTC Wildfire. The sound quality is good but only some of the controls work and I could not get the mic to work at all. Please note that this headset is for iphones only, so not a fault.
The instruction leaflet leaves a lot be be desired; it very hard to work out which "bud" to use and how to assemble them correctly. I also found that the over the ear adjustment quite difficult but maybe that's because I've got small ears.

Sound was average not good not bad,
Mic and remote broke on me for no apparent reason, with in a week.
the wire broke with only the weight of my iphone falling out my pocket a few times...

I am now onto my second pair of these & they have both failed with the same fault. People I call complain that there is a loud buzzing sound. I do not hear this - it is only one way. The mic & controls are in a really bad position - in the new iPhone5 headphones the mic & controls are on the single wire (think it's the right one) to where the left & right meet. On the Sennheiser they are below this point.
I use them for sport so expect them to be up to this kind of use but they are not.

Not a bad fit had to fiddle with the headphones quite a bit for them to stay on also one of the headphones cut out on occasion although jack may of got knocked by phone wallet hasn't happened since, all in all a good set of headphones but maybe not much better then cheaper versions
