    I have tried a few different ear bud headphones for my Sony mp3 player, including expensive Shure ones but these are by far the best. Being a musician, I have to have a good sound in my hifi gear and have been searching for a while for decent sounding ear bud phones, with not a lot of success, until now. These from Sennheiser are punchy, with a rich deep bass and clear highs, true mid range. They were a bit fiddly to get the right fit to start with and the cables are a bit flimsy with but so were the rest. I was so pleased when I heard that full deep bass sound which is so much lacking on the others I tried. Full marks to Sennheiser but its what I have come to expect from this company as I use their phones in studio work. These are the biz and I would definately recommend them to any potential buyer, excellent value for money.

    Many people complain about the sound quality of these headphones, but lets put things into perpective.

    You should consider these headphones if:

    - You want to replace standard issue headphones with a good quality pair, for under £20
    - You listen to your music while on the move
    - Normal headphones are constantly falling out
    - You record your MP3's at 128kbps like everyone else

    These headphones are probably not for you if:

    - You record your MP3's at a higher data rate than 128kps
    - You're using these headpones to try to detect subtle sounds that only dogs and dolphins can hear
    - Listen for hours and hours on end

    As with most things in this world, you get what you pay for. If you set your expectations of a <£20 pair of headphones too high, you are obviously going to be disappointed.

    These are great headphones. They suit my needs perfectly.

    To be fair to those who have had problems they might not suit all tastes.
    But as a user of may high spec headphones eg Gardo, Sennheiser, AKG, Audioteknica,Sony and many more, These are one of the best in-ear headphones i have used.

    I have 4 sets of these after buying one set at dixons in the airport as i had forgot my sony in-ears and bought 3 pairs on amazon as at that time they were £30 in the airport now £25, As i use and often loose a lot of headphones. I think they are on par with the Sony's no problem, it comes down to personal choice as to which is best i like both but there is a differance.

    In my personal opinion the standard headphones that come most mp3 players are just acceptable and normally not a good fit in my ears. Out off the bud type headphones i find that the CX300 are one off the best. I have used Philips,Sony and Sennheiser of prices up to £40 and only found the Philips annoying to use over a long period all good on bass and overall sound.

    There is no noise cancelling in these headphones it is infact a block the better the headphones fit in your ears the less noise you get just like your fingers. My studio use headphones are Sennheiser HD25 £150 and i consider these in-ears to be not far off in there sonic quality not quite there but not far.

    I have listened to expensive Bose noise cancelling headphones £300 and the noise cancelling is damaging the purity of the sound and this can be heard on the cymbals mainly but if you listen carfully it can be found all over the place. So to Sum up buy and try most of my friends now use these and love them if you don't someone you know will.
