After reading great reviews about the pmx70 i chose to go with the sennheiser sport pmx80 - primarily because i liked the orange colour over the green.''i have only used apple headphones, so this was a major improvement. the package came and at first glance, the headphones seem lighter and more nimble than you would think - it really is quite small.''however the fit around your ears are amazing. they stay on, but do not cause discomfort by being too tight. At first you will notice how deep the earpieces go into your ears, which was a new thing - but you get used to it, and it really is better. they are a great fit, and when working out, or sprinting for that matter, these wont budge.''as for the sound quality, it lives up to the Sennheiser name. Great amount of bass, and though it isnt noise cancelling, it does a pretty good job at that. they put the apple headphones to shame in terms of sound quality.'you will not be disappointed with the sound.''it really does glow in the dark too, and i've ran it under water to clean after work outs, and i've had no problems. does exactly what it says it would.'the cable is pretty sturdy, and ive onli had it for a week so i cannot see any wear and tear.''these are very stylish, and practical headphones, providing you with a comfortable, and stable fit, with great quality sound.'i would recommend to any-one looking for headphones that would stay on, athletes especially - they really are water resistant (and sweat resistant...)

'great quality product that delivers all that it promises.'

Very comfortable for me and sounds great. Perfect for running, really secure. Only drawback is that if you are combining running with weights, you will not be able to lean your head back against a bench while wearing these.

But if you are just ordering them for running in then I would highly recommend them as the sound & comfort were great.

These headphones are perfect for gym users. Comfortable, high quality sound, and durable.
You simply attach the clip to your shirt, have the plastic going round the back of your neck, and workout whilst listening to your favourite music. Great!

However if you're hoping to use these headphones elsewhere, I would discourage you from purchasing these. My reasons for this being:
A.) It is awkward for those with hair down to the ears - This may not apply to many of you, but when out and about you hair is kind of tucked behind your ears which dosen't look great. This isn't such a problem in the gym where everyone is concentrating on themselves, but I wouldn't personally want this when walking around shops etc.

B.) Excesive use causes some minor discomfort in your ears. Anything longer than one hour gives a little "pressurised" feeling where the headphones press in your ear. This isn't a problem with inner-earphones, which would be much more suited for non-gym use.

All in all, aslong as you only want these for your workout sessions, I do strongly reccomend them over anything else that I have used.

These are a fantastic set of headphones. I'm a regular gym user/runner and had been using the in-ear type for many years. But after a few months of friction rubbing whilst in the ear and sweat, the in ear buds pop out of your ear at inopportune moments. So I sought a pair of fixed frame earphones and after extensive research I found the Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II - Sport Line headphones.

I can't tell you how glad I was to have made this choice. For starters, they are sooo comfortable. I was concerned that the behind the neck frame would have been uncomfortable or take some getting used to, but I needn't have worried - they fitted well straight away.

I'm also very impressed with the sound quality. They have excellent sound across the range. They could be a bit louder and bass-ier (for instance, when you're road running you can sometimes hear vehicles over the music when your iPod's on full (but I guess the recorded level could be an issue).

Overall, these are an excellent pair of headphones for sport. They look good and are good value for money.

Notice that this is the 65th positive review of these headphones and 90% of them have generously given top marks. What does that tell you?...

I second a lot of what has already been said about this item in that the PMX 80 II's are very robust, tolerant of sweat (which is very, very needed with sport headphones!), and give good sound, however I wont go as far as to say they give terrific sound quality- because they don't.

They hold in place really, really well and they go round as opposed to over your head which I think is excellent. They're also great value. The sound is generic; they don't give good bass at all. They're clear though. All in all though I think that this is outweighed by the pro's.

I'd recommend them to anybody that enjoys listening to audio when at the gym, taking a run etc, etc, but IMO I would not use them for walking around town listening to podcasts and whatnot because of the quality - I have the Sennheiser PX200's for that.

I bought these to use at the gym and for running along the canal toe paths.

Bought them in August, right ear piece stopped working in November. How rubbish is that!

They do not have a protective carry case which they need. I ended up wrapping the cable around the ear pieces otherwise they tangle into an annoying knot in your gym bag.

The little screws that live near the ear pieces have started to rust and I believe the right ear piece has stopped working due to water ingress from me sweating.

They claim to be sweat resistant and water resistant, and they only mean resistant, not sweat and water proof. If they were water and sweat proof they may have lasted a bit longer.

On the flip side, I found them comfortable, sturdy, secure and the sound quality is fine for me. There is no way they will fall off your head.

I imagine they would be OK for light exercise or for people who do not perspire very much.
