"Send me No Flowers" staring Doris Day, Rock Hudson and Tony Randell is about a happily married husband and wife who break up due to the fact that George (Rock Hudson) thinks he is dieing. The Doctor is on the phone and he hears him talking to another Doctors about another patient. George thinks that he is talking about him and goes around thinking he's dieing. Judy (Doris Day) finds out and throws him out of the house. They eventually make it up like all the old films with a happy ending. I really like this film and I love the sound track " Ever since the day that you went away, you've been sending flowers to me, send me no flowers today, instead of sending flowers come back to me and hold me in your arms again," I thought I would just add some lyrics in there as it is a good film. I think that Doris Day and Rock Hudson were born to act together and i think it's wonderful that they had a great friendship offscrean aswell, Thats what makes this film a great film to watch. I am only 16 and I really enjoy these movies so she still has something in her films that appeals to younger audiences. I don't no why I like her movies so much, it must just be her natural qualities that she portryas through her films.

I think this is the best of the trio - a delight from start to finish. OK, not a great film for the serious critic but for someone who wants a funny, feel-good experience it's perfect. Well put together, well edited and with excellent performances, not only from the three stars, but from the supporting cast: Paul Lynde's enthusiastic cemetery manager is one of the highlights and Hal March is great as the womaniser looking for recently-bereaved conquests. Then there's the enormous Clint Walker squeezing out of his E-type Jag...
I've seen Citizen Kane but don't want to see it again. This, though, I can watch time and time again; isn't that why we buy dvds rather than just renting or borrowing them?

A good Day film 4 July 2004
By bernie VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
This film can also be found as part of the Doris day collection. Not the best one in the collection but still a great comedy with Doris Day Tony Randall and Rock Hudson. The husband (Rock Hudson) over hears the doctors conversation and knows he is dying. He is a hypochondriac. Little did he know he overheard the wrong conversation. Now he has to find his wife (Doris Day) another husband.

An earlier romp than Pillow Talk but with the same stars
This is another of the Doris Day movie romps with Rock Hudson, a very popular combination with the days' audiences, and Tony Randall quite happy in what is essentially a supporting... Read more

Husband loved it, I thought okay!
My husband loved this film and has raved about it for years. Whilst I like Doris Day and Rock Hudson, I didn't find it nearly as amusing ( but maybe I was having an off day?)

One of my favourite Doris Day films. Really funny. You can watch it again and again. Well worth the price.

Good bu not great
Don't view this film expecting the freshness of Day / Hudson's best collaboration Pillow Talk. It is however, entertaining for the performances of the central actors, and the... Read more

The Weakest Link
Of the films made by Doris DAy, Rock Hudson and Tony Randall, this is definitely the weakest. The plot meanders and has no real focus; and the jokes therefore fall a bit flat a lot... Read more
