I am an entrepreneur who is now in the process of selling my business. This book has been essential in preparing me for what to expect. I took the author's advise in preparing the business and as a result I am getting better value than what I originally expected. It is easy to ready with specific suggestions and practical check list of what to prepare in terms of documentation. It is a must read if you want to get the most value from your business - and every entrepreneur should since we all know what hard work it is to start, grow and run a business. Good Luck to all readers who are in this process.

I've read a few similar books recently, but this one is definitely the best of the bunch. It's well written and it covers all the bases. The other books were written for American business owners, with maybe a token mention here and there of points relating to British owners. As a result, they're rather vague in the areas where I need specifics. As far as I can see, this is the only one written in the last few years and with up-to-date information for British owners. That alone must make it highly valuable and desirable

I'm getting to be a little bit of a fan of Mark Blayney's books. I love this one - Superbly written and an easy read, it gives anyone wanting to sell their business the best possible insight into what thy need to do not only to be able to sell up but also to do so at the best price. And with there being a huge problem in the UK with selling small businesses, owners cannot just assume their business will sell, making this book an essential read long before they think about employing a business transfer agent or accountant. It's that good!
