Book Description

1 Oct 2009

Back on the farm, the pigs are restless, and pissed. Smoking, pork-eating, overweight and without any s**t to roll in, these pigs aren't your cuddly, oinking kind of farmyard brother. They are mean and they are angry.

From the genius behind the bestselling BUNNY SUICIDES series comes a hilarious new collection of illustrations that confirms all our worst fears: the pigs won't take it lying down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost as good as the Bunny Suicides 5 Jan 2010
I bought this book for my sister for Christmas, but I have been a fan of Andy Riley's books for a long time. I have to say his ingenious animal books do stand out more for me than his Lies to Tell Kids ones, but maybe that is just because they tend to be a little more twisted.

Selfish Pigs will raise a good few chuckles and while it does not quite match up to the Bunny Suicides it comes a very close second.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't help but loving SELFISH PIGS 21 Feb 2011
Andy Rily's pigs are rude, intolerably selfish and pretty ugly too. And as suggested by another reviewer, piglet-loving younger sisters may not fully appreciate the underlying charm of this book. But do give it to your brother, he'll love it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pigs 7 Dec 2010
Really fun to read, but after 30-40 pictures becomes repetitive and not that imaginative.
I like how the pigs are drawn, they look really very nasty.

Pay attention that the book is smaller than for example Cyanide and Happiness: Ice Cream and Sadness, it is really small-sized.

"Selfish pigs" can be a great present for you younger brother, but don't expect much from it really.
