It's the funniest, bunniest book I've ever read (Elton John on THE BOOK OF BUNNY SUICIDES)

I was actually looking for Bunny Suicides that I previously had bought in London. I wanted to buy it as a gift. The bookshop only had a Bunny Suicide calender...and the book Selfish Pigs. I was a bit disappointed until I started flipping through the pages. Pretty soon I was standing in the shop laughing out loud and 10 minutes later it was wrapped in gift paper.
The only thing I didn't like about the book is that I had to give it away as the birthday gift.
The reaction at the party: the birthday girl really loved it. During the party an elderly woman saw the book on the table, picked it up and started flipping through the pages not knowing what kind of book it is. Her reaction was "Hahahaha, awww, how mean, hahahahaha". I didn't see her put down the book too soon.
I guess I have to buy it again...for me:)

I bought this book for my sister for Christmas, but I have been a fan of Andy Riley's books for a long time. I have to say his ingenious animal books do stand out more for me than his Lies to Tell Kids ones, but maybe that is just because they tend to be a little more twisted.

Selfish Pigs will raise a good few chuckles and while it does not quite match up to the Bunny Suicides it comes a very close second.

Really fun to read, but after 30-40 pictures becomes repetitive and not that imaginative.
I like how the pigs are drawn, they look really very nasty.

Pay attention that the book is smaller than for example Cyanide and Happiness: Ice Cream and Sadness, it is really small-sized.

"Selfish pigs" can be a great present for you younger brother, but don't expect much from it really.

Selfish Pigs (by Andy Riley) is an extremely funny picture book. It is filled with humorous pigs being selfish of course and the laughter never ends. I recomend it to absolutely anyone with good sense of humour and even those without, it will surely make you smile.

Andy Rily's pigs are rude, intolerably selfish and pretty ugly too. And as suggested by another reviewer, piglet-loving younger sisters may not fully appreciate the underlying charm of this book. But do give it to your brother, he'll love it.

Great book if you want a little present to give someone with a sense of humour. The pictures are clear and well and clear and the majority of pages made me giggle or laugh out loud! If youve read the Bunny Suicides book then youve got to like this one as well as it is very similar.

Would be a funny present for a 'grumpy old man' just to wind them up a little or someone similar. Great price and is hardback as well so you could always pass it along after youve had your laughs!
