I bought an earlier version of this book just to see what is was about and felt that everything was okay after I read it.

Then it obviously got hidden somewhere on my bookshelf and I bought it again earlier this year when I was feeling a lack of confidence before a big interview (they cheated and changed the cover!). I read it in a day and felt great again - the interviewer commented how I had controlled the meeting and then I decided that I actually did not want the job because I was happy where I was - I just needed some reassurance.

Like every self-motivation or self-confidence book, they are only good if you can imagine yourself being successful and believe that you are a winner and that you deserve to have good things happen to you.

Back at work, my sales figures have got much better and I feel motivated to achieve more than I did the previous month. (But that might be just because I'm great of course!)

At the end of the day its all in your head. If you like reading (very cheap) books and making yourself happy, then buy it. Who cares what your friends see when they look at your bookshelf!

Gael Lindenfield is obviously very driven. This book is written in a verbose, rhetirocal style about her own experiences and what has worked for her. At the finish, I concluded that this book is good if you are already self-motivated. Its about developing that virtuous circle, which I think is quite hard for some people. She refers to her own books and no other experts in the field and is very subjective. If that works for you, have a read, but I'm afraid it didn't for me.

there are lots of good ideas in this tape but I found it was trying to cover too much ground and doing none of them justice. We all need self motivation to get things done but Gael had me listening to about half of the tape and then I just went on to something else.
