My doctor suggested that I read this book, it is one of those that has been chosen to offer on prescription instead of anti depressants. I found it so helpful and can't describe how much of a friend it has become to me. I have also had coaching with Lynda Field and I think she really knows what she is talking about. If you are a depressed woman you realy need to know about how you can change your thoughts for the better and this book will show you how to do that. What I like about this book mostly is that it is a constant reminder to stop yourself going into a negative spiral and it shows you just how to lift up out of a low mood.

This is not a very good book at all in terms of what it intends to do. I was hoping it would help raise my self esteem but the author clearly feels the only things that affect women are linked to our love relationships, motherhood and work but as a woman who's loving relationship is brilliant and is not a mother-what am I supposed to get from this? Plus it uses some very antiquated terms and techniques especially when referring to 'energy' and 'spirituality'- it just insults my intelligence to presume I believe in that stuff. I'd rather have a slap and be told to 'pull myself together'. Probably better advise really.
