I got stung also 13 Dec 2011
Same thing as "The Healer" I only discovered weeks later that I had the wrong model as well -- however I have found a new multi region version the RT -32N works anywhere.
Unfortunately, I didn't find it on Amazon. I found it on premier-ink.co.uk and they have enough professionalism there that they give a full description of the product and the correct models required for your region. If you want something done right go to the right people.

Bought this for my new L358. I couldn't live without this now. It totally takes the work out of calculating lighting ratios for strobist work and allows me to feel completely confident about achieving the desired exposure simply and easily. Well worth the bucks!

Must have if you use Pocket Wizards 26 Aug 2008
By Kevin Vertucio - Published on Amazon.com
I have the Sekonic L358, but I bought it without this module thinking I didn't really need it. I managed for a short while...You have keep a PW transmitter in your hand (or camera around your neck) to fire the strobes and the meter in your other hand where you want take a reading. I becomes quite awkward when you need make any adjustments to your strobes since you have let these things hang around your neck or put something in your pocket. This little module actually frees up your hands and you can keep your heavy camera from swinging around your neck while you make adjustments.

If you plan on using a light meter a lot and choose the L358, do yourself a favor and get this module with it. This module will make your life a lot easier and save you some time in the end.

Unclear Version Advertised!! 1 Nov 2008

I have a sekonic L-358 CE version and bought a sekonic RT32 transmitter that happens to be an FCC version that caught me by surprise because I couldn't get my transmitter to work....I only realized that when my light meter vendor told me that FCC and CE versions don't match. Had this been clear on this site I would have not made the mistake....and this is a warning to those who are planning to buy...make sure both meter and transmitter are of the same frequency...either both are CE or FCC....

UPDATED REVIEW:
Luckily my local vendor replaced my sekonic meter from a CE version to the FCC version and my wireless transmitter now works with my Pocket wizard........my only problem with marketing is that they should put a warning stating that they both the meter and transmeter must be the FCC version to make it work...unfortunately I could not find that information anywhere. I learned it after the fact...and then even when talking to the vendor (adorama) of this transmitter they seem to be at a loss....

Must have piece of equipment 30 July 2008

I honestly don't know how any studio photographer using a Sekonic light meter could do without this unit. The idea of having to run sync cords back and forth to strobes and then running back and forth yourself between your different strobes to get a reading seems absurd. The time savings alone justify the cost of the unit.
