I Bought this game within 12 hours of its release date, expecting it to take full advantage of the wii tennis clever controls. Being new to the sega tennis range, this game left me with a sense of disappointment at the inability to control the ball purely by how you use the remote. You have the advantage of directing your player around the court and a wider range of shots. but where is the fun in telling the ball to go right, as apposed to timing a shot on wii tennis to perfection.. you can swing your remote a second before the ball comes near your racket, and still hit the ball... that to me, doesn't reflect true realism.
The tournament mode isn't the best, it doesn't have any cut scenes once you have won a trophy, it just goes straight back to the main menu. The players have catchphrases that are repeated almost after every serve..
A decent title however that im sure, followers of the superstar tennis range will enjoy, but if your looking for a true game of tennis that feels remotely like your actually hitting a ball.. i'd put your wii sports cd back into your console..
