It's much more than a memory card! For the first time, you can take parts of a game with you and play with them away from home. The VMU has its own microprocessor, screen, memory and controller and can act as a self-contained game machine. You can save information from your Dreamcast onto the VMU and modify/change/play with that data while you are away from your Dreamcast. For example, download characters from Sega Dreamcast games into the VMU, train them while on the bus, and then load them back into the Dreamcast game.
Save special VMU-only games and play them at work or school. Even connect your VMU to a friend's VMU and compete or trade game files! The VMU's LCD screen can be viewed while it is inserted into a Dreamcast controller and creates a private viewing device that can be hidden from other players. Now, you'll be able to select plays in NFL 2K without your opponent knowing what's coming. The VMU adds a whole new strategic level of gameplay!

This is a must buy.
This works the same as a normal VMU and it looks great (also looks better in a colour pad)
if you want some style to your pad and/or your deamcast this is a must buy.
And the best part is it fits into any pad any gun and the arcade stick (With the PAL sign).
And when carying it playing mini games it looks so cool.

Unfortunately it uses 2 CR2032 batteries like used in the sega saturns console memory which only uses 1 and they can deplete very quickly depending on how you use the vmu ,the batteries will last about 7 days of continuous use when playing games and when playing against other vmu's or saving data and copying files frequently it uses up the batteries quicker ,it's only a minor downfall to this memory unit because you can still save game data even though the batteries are flat ,you only need the batteries for linking up or playing a vmu mini game.
