5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put it down, 31 Dec 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Seesaw (Paperback)
This was a really good book, it kept me interested all the way through and I found it hard to pull myself away. I'm going to invest in some more of Deborah Moggach's books as I think she is a superb author. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars how would you of coped?, 17 Aug 2006

This review is from: Seesaw (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book, kept me gripped to the end. Easy to read and leaves you wondering how your own family would of coped with a similar experience. Interesting giving the view of the kidnappers and how the event changed their lives. My only comment was it goes into great detail at the begining then suddenly its 18 months later, but thats just me I like to know the detail.

4.0 out of 5 stars I See a 4-Star Book, 14 Aug 2003
By Jan Roelofs "bibliophile" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Seesaw (Paperback)
After reading Tulip Fever, I thought Deborah Moggach's other titles might be worth a try. Seesaw certainly was. In fact, I found it more compelling than Fever, in many ways. First, the characters were easy to relate to. Taking place in contemporary London, the family was ordinary, albeit somewhat more well off than most. The kidnapping, every parent's worst fear, was very believable. I liked the depth of each character's background story, told from each of their point of view, while keeping the suspense. The long term consequences of the crime were realistic and not often dealt with. I look forward to more of Moggach, both older works and new releases.
