From Amazon.co.uk

An original Neil Simon screenplay makes Seems Like Old Times rise above what would otherwise be a forgettable comedy-love triangle. Goldie Hawn plays a good-hearted defence lawyer married to Ira (Charles Grodin), a politically ambitious district attorney. The craziness of their everyday lives becomes even more ridiculous when ex-husband Chevy Chase is framed for a bank robbery and seeks refuge with the woman he could never get over. Hawn hides the love of her life under her husband's nose as Chase tries to clear his name. Hawn tries to protect him and Grodin just tries to keep from going insane. A slapstick romance that's very often hit-and-miss, the dialogue saves this comic farce and provides wonderful moments between the three stars.--Robert Lane, Amazon.com

Synopsis

Romantic farce has a lawyer's (Goldie Hawn) life and marriage disrupted by her ex-husband's (Chevy Chase) criminal inabilities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Im not making you crazy! 4 July 2004
By bernie VINE™ VOICE

This is a great situation comedy. Chevy Chase (Nicholas 'Nick' J. Gardenia) is forced to be part of a bank robbery. Goldie Hawn (Glenda Gardenia Parks) who is an attorney who defends everything from wayward Indians to lost dogs is Nick's ex and must convince him to turn his self in. Charles Grodin (Ira J. Parks), Glenda's present husband, is the district attorney. Nick serves Ira and the governor chicken pepperoni. Well you get the idea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Vintage Comedy 21 April 2013
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is an enjoyable fim about a woman who spends her time defending the underdog (Goldie Hawn) and is married to the future District Attorney (Charles Grodin). Her ex husband (Chevy Chase) is kidnapped by robbers and forced to take part in a bank raid. He comes to Glenda to ask for her help whilst her husband tries to catch him.

This is an entertaining film with lots of laughs, full of unusual characters (Spanish cooks with bad feet, Indians who can't ride horses and dogs, lots of dogs!) and is written by Neil Simon.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you don't like this film, you're crazy! 27 May 2012
Format:DVD
Ok, yes, it's a little contrived, but that's because Neil Simon is mainly a stage writer. This film has great timing, great performances and great dialogue.
The characters, although maybe not totally profound, are engaging. It's a comedy movie, it doesn't have to be like real life.
Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn and Charles Grodin are all on top form.

3.0 out of 5 stars A nice little film 22 July 2009
By L. Cory
Format:DVD
Anyone expecting a comedy, will be disappointed with this film. It's lightweight and silly, but.. not very funny. That's not to say that it's poor. No, it has some fun moments and the cast are very watchable. A reasonable film, that is certainly worth owning if you like Goldie Hawn or Chevy Chase.

2.0 out of 5 stars Seems Like Old Times [DVD] [1980] 12 April 2009
Format:DVD
Disappointing. While Chevy Chase was quite funny, he was absent for much of the movie. As for Goldie Hawn and Charles Grodin, their characters were irritating and somewhat unconvincing. Yawn.
