I read this book with my Year 6 class, and the majority really enjoyed it! We really liked the idea of having so many different characters from different backgrounds. We thought that the way the author set-up this book was quite appropriate, and we really liked all of the different 'voices' the characters had.

This is one of the William Allen White books for Kansas school children to vote on in the spring of 2000. It is an excellent quick read that shows a little bit of hope can go a long way to change the way things seem to have to be.

This book was amazingly good. I bought it because I forgot to read a book for the summer reading program (I am a student) and realized how wonderful the book actually was!
