A typical representative of DM's early phase: a cute pop song that's little more than plain... cute. Melancholy and delicate, it features vocals by a still stylistically immature Gahan, who sings softly and undertone. It's interesting to note how the music has undergone a slight change from the first album: songwriting, after Clarke's departure, has fallen into Gore's hands, and the tone is starting to show some minimal shifts towards darkness. It would take some more time to make darkness dominant in DM's songs, but here you can find some hints. The B-side is quite good, too.
