I read this when i was 9 and im 14 now and still loving it! It's hard to find a book with such a strong plot and depth in the characters. The twists are sometimes expected but when they happen it's was helpful to of been able to prepare for them as this does get very emotinal in places. The writer has excelled in being able to produce a piece fictional realism which you can beleive. I think it is not quite a 9 year old story but really for pre-teen as the range of emotion could be difficult to understand in places. This is brilliant book to read in the long summer holidays when you have nothing to do ( I personally keep it as the essential beach read-its not amazingly long so i can finish it in a few hours)
Hope this helps!

See How They Run is a very good book to read. The Morton family are on the run after the father finds out someone is laundering drug money. They flee to the fathers native country, Australia, where they think they're safe. Things do not go as they planned...

I love this book. I got into it through the amazing tv series, and found it every bit as good, although different. The author has obviously done lots of research, and produced a fantastic book. It really makes you think about what people in witness protection schemes must go through - i suspect it is probably worse than in the book. At least the book has a happy ending - i suspect real life often doesn't. It has a wonderful plot, is well written and has a truly emotional content. My sister now wants to read this book. I highly recommend it.
