Seductive as Flame by Susan Johnson
Historical Romance -Dec. 6th, 2011

Alec Munro, the Earl of Dalgliesh, is trapped in a loveless marriage. Famous for his numerous liaisons and vicious wife, he does not expect to encounter the dashing and extraordinary Zelda MacKenzie. As they tumble headlong into a wild affair, Alec quickly realizes that his heart could be in danger...
I loved Zelda's character. She's so independent and modern, a complete departure from the usual fragile misses or feisty but childish heroines. I especially liked her leave it or take it attitude towards Alec. She is realistic; she knows that he's a legendary Casanova who's already married. She is prepared for their affair to end anytime. Alec on the other hand is the typical handsome and sexually powerful alpha male. To me, his character is not as exciting as Zelda, but the mystery behind his marriage and his mother's illness was my main motivation for reading the book till the very last page.
Steamy and full of suspense, this is one of Susan Johnson's best.
