This item could not make up its mind whether or not it was actually working - at first the UV light simply failed to work at all. Without the UV light it was impossible to test whether of not the marker pen worked. Eventually after many attempts, the UV light spluttered into life. I abandoned my plans to send it back to the vendor and put the pen away. I had bought it for my daughter, so next time she came to visit I handed it over, Hey presto, the UV light failed instantly, and it hasn't worked since. This is worse than if it had never worked at all, because it prevented me from buying a new one. Really terrible value, I would urge anybody not to buy this item.

This pen seems really cool, but don't buy it.
I bought it to mark all my tools, but the so called permanent ink just doesn't dry.
Not only that, but it's still visible on my drills and easily rubbed off.
Bit disappointed and it says leave up to an hour on non porous surfaces.
But the fact is, it just doesn't work.
I reckon it's good for porous surfaces where its permanent qualities aren't required.

When I initially got this is seemed to work fine but within only a couple of uses the light started failing and I found that the marker was very feint and unclear even when the light did work. In short, not fit for purpose and I will be sending it back.

Only for absorbent surfaces
Not really what I wanted. My previous security marker worked well on hard, non-absorbent surfaces like metal and plastic, but this one never dries and wipes off when touched. Read more

Simple and very effective
This inexpensive pen and UV light is very simple, effective and incredibly good value. Thoroughly recommended. You should buy one!

Strong UV ink
Although the light only lights up a very tiny area at a time making it difficult to read anything written in UV, the ink is brilliant. Read more

I thought the pen was a brilliant idea, we have used it in our business and have given it as a gift in party bags. The children really loved it!!!

Do Not Buy!.
I found that the ink from the pen did not dry. You could wipe it easily off the surface of items, even days later it failed to stay on. Read more

Not very useful
The pen in itself doesn't really work and the light is working properly 50% of the time at best.
