I used these locks on a recent trip to the USA and was delighted to find that they worked, I was able to see by the change of colour that my luggage had been checked without having to have the lock broken.

These padlocks are not cheap, but you do get what you pay for in this instance. They are very well made and very easy to use
I thoroughly recommend them to anyone going away on holiday via aircraft especially.

These are good sturdy suitcase padlocks. I also liked the indicator which shows that airport security have opened your case for inspection.

However there in lies a flaw... the reset button for the indicator is hidden beneath the main bolt, however there is quite a lot of play between the metal bolt and the metal sheath, meaning that there is probably enough space for a pin to slide down the side and press the reset button.

Good quality padlocks
I bought this set of padlocks to replace some of the key-operated type. These survived a trip to Tenerife and I am pleased to say they are sturdy.

Nice padlock, but didn't do the job
Bought these padlocks as we were changing planes in USA. Outward journey changed at Houston and suitcases not opened. Return journey changed at Newark New York. Read more

3-dial is not a good idea
With 999 possible combinations a patient thief can open this in about 16 minutes (but likely much quicker). Read more

Excellent little padlock

why bother buying these locks when USA security open and throw them...
