If you want to learn how to drum properly then buy this DVD. JoJo Mayer demonstrates every technique necessary for correct playing in a clear and easily understood manner. Suitable for beginner to advanced, it is beautifully produced and worth every penny. If you only get one DVD on drumming, get this one. You won't be disappointed.

I was introduced to Jojo Mayer via youtube, and some quite staggering footage of demonstrations by him at conventions, so when I heard this dvd was coming out it was a must buy for me.
The best thing about this dvd is that it allows you to deconstruct your playing technique and add new techniques to your repertoire whilst not really taking away your drumming individuality in a way that some dvd's can.
He also holds nothing back either, he shows you everything you need to know about a technique, there is no "hiding" of the most important bits, that I have found annoying in some other instructional video's. You can tell that his primamry motivation for this was to teach, rather than to show off and we've all bought those ones by mistake!!
Mayer has a huge grasp of the mechanics of the human body as it pertains to drumming. A grasp which he demonstartes with slom motion capture and on screen graphics to show where the energy is a stroke is dissipated...... Amazing and insightful stuff.
Also I just love the guys sense of humour too! There are a few laugh out loud moments of bizarre surrealist humour added in to what is a great product.

Simple - The most important hand technique DVD of all time, buy this!!!
The true master takes you from every aspect from beginning to advanced hand techniques.
However remember that you cannot rush through this DVD, it is the most comprehensive guide to hand techniques of all time with some of the techniques taking months/years to master.
If you are a drummer - Buy this!
