Sensei Dollar took the best Uechi Ryu martial artists alive ( one being himself ), and compiled it with their experinces - experiances of dead masters and his own 30 years of Uechi knowledge to put together the best Uechi book out - he's also one if not the formost masters of the style in the United States

Uechi-ryu is not a well know style in many parts of the country. As such if you looking for a book that covers not only the history of the style but also the some of the history of the island that developed it, and does so in depth, this is the book for you. Its a huge book and its packed full of info both on Okinawa and on the history and development of Uechi-ryu.

Here is an excellent addition to books regarding this not-so-well known style of Okinawan karate. Alan has the experience and connections to gather great info and puts it together in a very readable format that would be interesting to anyone intereted in traditional karate. Great job Alan!
