A Tool For Everyday Living,
By Kris Ball (U.K) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Secrets Of The People Whisperer: Using the art of communication to enhance your own life, and the lives of others (Hardcover)
As a counsellor, helping others to 'find' themselves and develop another way of 'being', depends on me offering them the tools to do so , in an easily understandable way. Perry has produced a wonderful 'tool'. His 'secrets' are practical and real. The book is written with a sense of truth, humour and realism that only comes with understanding and experience. While I am sure his 'secrets' will resonate more after a greater length of 'digestion' time, I will happily recommend this book to other therapists.

I still haven't finished this book as the writing style just doesn't hold my attention. The subject is fascinating but somehow it just doesn't come across well in this book.

The right thing at the right time,
By A Customer
This review is from: Secrets Of The People Whisperer: Using the art of communication to enhance your own life, and the lives of others (Hardcover)
I have really wanted to write something about this book but haven't quite known how to go about it. I am not a councillor, trainer or teacher - just a 'civilian' but I have found it so exciting I've wanted to give a copy to all my friends. The authors 'secrets' have opened my eyes to many mistakes I have been making in my relationships with myself, others, and with God and I am now seeing tangible improvement in those relationships. And it isn't as if I didn't already 'know' these things - more that I didn't fully understand their significance or how to put them into practice. Now just getting out of bed in the morning is easier, but I am left with lots of questions I would like to ask the author.... such as how he came to make the change from a career as a professional musician to working with horses and then to coaching corporate executives? It would be even more interesting to know the route of his spiritual journey. Perhaps that would be the subject for another book? I think you probably need to be ready for the information in this book to be able to receive it - for me this was/is the right thing at the right time. If you are reading these reviews I guess it could be the right thing for you too! Thanks Perry!
