While ne-waza is not the principal source of self-defense used in the art of karate, it is, nonetheless, an indispensable component of effective fighting, and also reflects a forgotten aspect from this arts early origins found in Tegumi. This is a great buy. Patrick mccarthy is one of best karate instructor around. His approach is straight forward and easy to follow. If you want to see how karate can be used in a realistic way on the ground, then checkout this dvd. Be aware though this dvd will NOT make you a skilled grappler on the ground, only practicing for real will do that. With that said this dvd will certainly add new techniques to anyones karate.
