Perhaps rather old-fashioned now - dating from 1989 - certainly not part of the gastro-porn wave! However Anna del Conte is a first-class practical accurate cookery writer, and has taken care to ascertain that the ingredients are all readily available in the UK, so despite lack of illustrations this really is a first-class basic Italian cookbook from an insider
