Jim Zuckerman has lectured and taught creative photography at UCLA, Kent State University and the Palm Beach Photographic Center. He was a contributing editor to Photographic magazine for 32 years and now writes for Shutterbug. His images have been published in hundreds of books and magazines including publications of the National Geographic Society, Outdoor Photographer, Omni Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler and Science Fiction Age. He is the author of 14 books.

This book has lots of advanced techniques and advice, It is more for the advanced photographer than the amateur. There does not seem to be any advice on camera settings, f stops, shutter speeds etc for different shot types.

This is a nice little book for how to improve your photography. Nothing ground-breaking, but explained in a clear, easy to follow manner, and illustrated with the kind of photos you could imagine yourself achieving with a bit of practice. I enjoyed reading it and trying to put the advice into practice. Probably not for experienced photographers, but good for those starting out.

A well written and well illustrated book based on 15 principles for creating great photos. Assumes a reasonable level of digital photography knowledge but builds in what is clearly a huge amount of experience in to an easy to ready and well presented book. A refreshing change to most other photo books which assume you are a complete novice. This has now become my my coursebook for taking great photos!
