Heavy Beauty! 6 Dec 2000
By WOODY
Format:Audio CD
With new musicians and writing collaborations, Lana has added a heavier edge to her music but lost none of its beauty. Chunking riffs, soaring vocals and keyboards a plenty make 'Secrets' closer to the Prog tag that is part of her make up and by far the most accomplished album from this West Coast rocker. There are touches of AOR in here but don't let that put you off.

Great Stuff 14 Mar 2007
By Andy H
Format:Audio CD
Have toyed with buying a Lana Lane CD for a while now and finally took the plunge. Wish now I had done so sooner, although labelled "progressive" Lana Lane must be one of the best female vocalists in rock of any genre. She has a great range and sings ballads and the rockier numbers with equal brilliance. Favourite tracks, Secrets of Astrology, Speed of Sound, Tarot.... But all are at least 4.5 - 5 star tracks. Have to buy more of her stuff now !!

Rock Queen 27 Jan 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Having bought this album after hearing Lana for the first time with her contribution to Gary Hughes Once and Future King project I was not disappointed. Top notch vocals with a tremendous clarity and range, great songs in a dramatic prog metal come AOR style mixing strong melodies with chunky riffs and driving guitars topped by a good dose of keyboard. Heavy rock I guess thats easy on the ear.
My personal view would be there's a strong influence from the Tony Martin Sabbath era, which is by no means a bad thing, although there's much more to it than that.
Another one of those albums for heavy rock fans who like a good song and Lana certainly delivers that. There can't be many rock vocalists of her calibre!
