just like his dad,

I had always wished that things had been different and that he had at least once performed in his dads place with the Beatles. I think his story is very sad and he is as equally talented as his dad John. I intend to collect all his albums. My heart goes out to Julian, I wish his life had been better and that his future bodes him well.

A timely reissue see's the welcome return of Julian Lennon's second album...THE SECRET VALUE OF DAYDREAMING.....Released in 1986 this was a perhaps hurried follow up to the exceptional... VALOTTE... from two years previous. I've listened to the 2009 reissue and there doesn't appear to have been any remastering carried out nor any rare/unreleased tracks or detailed track annotation. Plus the original credits are not present. A shame really and I hope next time whoever reissues this consults Julian. Anyway back to the music...Julian's initial success was mainly Stateside and this album catered for that. So it's a slick and safe route travelled in time to coincide with his 1986 tour...In the UK the singles barely reached the Top 75 and the album did relatively quiet business. The finest moments are when Julian's unique gift for melody and harmony are allowed to shine through..as on I'VE SEEN YOUR FACE..and..EVERYDAY..(wasted as the b-side to THIS IS MY DAY..) At the same time Julian was trying to move away from the musical dynasty that dogged him at every turn. With this album he was trying to keep everyone happy and mostly didso.....His best was still up ahead.

a good cd with great songs as usual by julian lennon has a great voice just like his dad john you should buy his new album everything changes out now
