5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic 10 May 2009

Format:Audio CD
This set of the Secret Seven audio CD's (not the ones narrated by Sarah Greene) are a great favourite with my 6 year old son and all his friends. They have loved all the ones we have been able to purchase especially as they have children narrating the characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kitsch for kids 31 May 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Say what you like about Enid Blyton - and reading these books as an adult can make you wince occasionally, especially with the Comic Strip's 'Five Go Mad...' on constant loop in your brain - but she does capture the imagination of children. My son, 6, has eclectic reading tastes but since we read one Secret Seven book we have had to buy them all.
They may be dated, even kitsch, but kids love them. And there are worse ways to grow their imaginations than having adventures and mysteries to solve in some bygone rural English idyll.
Not quite so sure if they would be as popular with girls, though - they seem to get a bit of a raw deal in the Secret Seven.
