About the Author
Enid Blyton died in 1968 but remains one of the best-known and best-loved writers of children`s stories. She is consistently voted a children`s favourite in author polls. She has over 600 children`s books to her credit, including the Famous Five series, the Secret Seven series, the Naughtiest Girl series (all Hodder) and the Malory Towers and St Clare`s series (both available from Hodder on audio).

Format:Audio Cassette
This set of the Secret Seven audio CD's (not the ones narrated by Sarah Greene) are a great favourite with my 6 year old son and all his friends. They have loved all the ones we have been able to purchase especially as they have children narrating the characters.

This was part of a Christmas present for a visually impaired 9 yr old boy. He has loved listening to the stories and the narrative to set the scene. Some audio books are poorly described and lack content, however, these were the opposite and he is now saving up for some more.... a great present!

The storyline is that the Secret Seven have to leave their meeting place, a shed, which is being painted, but they can only find a cave, an intruder comes - it is a very mysterious person and a scarecrow is also in this story...
As the seventh book in the series, this story is quite unimpressive and compared to the rest it is very bad. The storyline is very, very, very similar to other Enid Blyton stories and that is Enid Leyton's weak spot. If there is something that could improve the writing of her stories a lot, but, unfortunately, she is not alive.
It doesn't pave the way, for a series of books which are alike but more complex storylines to come, very well. I would rate this book: 2/10.
