Book Description

3 Mar 2011 Tales from Percy's Park

Percy the Park Keeper is in for a surprise in this funny story from highly-regarded, bestselling author-illustrator Nick Butterworth. Includes a fabulous fold-out maze.

It’s a beautiful spring morning and a perfect opportunity for Percy to trim the overgrown maze. The animals decide to have some fun hiding on the stone lion in the middle of the maze, to surprise Percy. But the suprise is on them when they fall asleep and Percy, finding them, hides behind the statue and pretends his voice is the lion’s telling them to wake up.

Percy has unravelled some string through the maze to help him find the way out but the squirrel, thinking he is helping, has wound the string into a ball. Help Percy and his friends find the way out of the park, guiding them through the fold-out maze at the back of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone's favourite 15 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
My 10 year old daughter bought it for my 5 year old son for Christmas, because she loves Nick Butterworth from her earlier reading experiences - and knows that her little brother does too. It's so charming and illustrations are great and a fold-out at the end is an additional bonus!

4.0 out of 5 stars How does the story ends? 9 Nov 2011
By netgirl
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Hallo, Though I'm foreign, I love reading Percy' s stories (of course translated) to my 4,5 years old daughter, and she enjoys it too.
But I think that something is wrong with my book. It seems to me that the story has a sudden end.
To be more specific, Percy realizes that the squirrel messed up with the string, all the other animals are telling their opinion about the way out and Percy say's: "And I've got a feeling we'll be having toasted teacakes for breakfast!"
And that's how it ends.
Even my daughter asked me...."now what?", "how will they get out of the maze?"
I have seen the movie too, where they all get out of the maze.
Therefore my question is: "Is this the ending, or are there some missing pages from my book?"
