Product Description

The eighth title in Jean Ure’s acclaimed series of humorous and poignant stories.

Megan and Annie are bright twelve-year-old girls, who are desperate to meet their favourite author, Harriet Chance. When Annie makes contact with Harriet ‘s daughter via an Internet chat room, the girls are ecstatic. Lori helps them to arrange a secret meeting with Harriet, and the girls congratulate themselves on being so clever. But when they meet the author she’s a bit strange. Why does Megan seem to know more about the author than she does herself? Why does Harriet seem so edgy? Is this really their favourite author, or are the girls in real trouble…?

Jean Ure’s diary series includes: Passion Flower, Pumpkin Pie, Shrinking Violet, Skinny Melon and Me, The Secret Life of Sally Tomato, Becky Bananas, This is Your Life! and Fruit and Nutcase

This book is an absolute must to read every girl (it's a girls book) from the age of 9 - 13 years old would love it it's about two best friends: Megan and Annie who arrange to meet Megans favourite author: Harriet Chance for Megans birthday treat, via a chat room, but all doesn't go to plan! You have to read it to find out, and trust me, you'll LOVE it! I've read a lot of books and this one is the best on that i've read, it's amazing, and teaches children about the dangers of chatrooms!

this is a great read!

it is about 2 girls. they start talking to someone in a chatroom who says they are one of the girls fave authors. They arrange to meet, but it is not the author they were hoping for.

Its a book that you dont want to put down, and it teaches about the dangers of meeting people from chatrooms!

Secret Meeting is about two best friends, a skinny one called Megan and a plump one called Annie. It's Megan's birthday soon and Annie really wants to get Megan something special, and Annie knows Megan's crazy about Harriet Chance and her books, so she arranges Megan and her to meet Harriet Chance, but when they actually meet her she seems quite strange and Megan and Annie aren't sure about this person. Read the whole book for more detail!
