Book Description

15 Dec 2013
Despite being the most prominent celestial body after the Sun, the Moon has many qualities that science has yet to explain. Lunar rock samples reveal the Moon once had a magnetic field like the Earth, and seismic experiments by NASA suggest the Moon is at least partially hollow. For centuries people have observed lights, moving clouds and shadows, and even the disappearance of entire craters via telescope. Apollo astronauts repeatedly felt the presence of a "non-human intelligence" during their Moon visits, and many indigenous traditions speak of malevolent visitors from the Moon. A growing body of astrophysical and geological evidence shows the Moon is not an entirely natural world--that someone or something altered it long ago. Louis Proud explores the phases and movements of the Moon along with its ancient and mysterious features--its craters, maria, rilles, tunnels, and domes. He examines several of NASA's Apollo missions, showing not that NASA faked the Moon expeditions but that they concealed what the astronauts found there. He explains the many holes in the commonly accepted "Giant Impact" theory of the Moon's origins and reveals the evidence for a hollow, artificial Moon placed in orbit eons ago to observe Earth. Examining the deep influence of the Moon on the collective mind of humanity, Proud looks at what the Qabbalah, the tarot, and other occult traditions say about the Moon and interprets G. I. Gurdjieff's teachings that "we are food for the Moon." He investigates the Moon as a gateway to another realm, as the Purgatory of Christianity, and as the home of an alien intelligence who controls and exploits humanity. Examining the Moon from both scientific and esoteric perspectives, Proud shows the Moon is not a cold, dead rock but a rich, fascinating world just as alive as Earth.

Review

"Louis Proud takes us on a fascinating journey of the Moon's mysteries in ancient lore and what we may actually have found there. As one who has long suspected that not only did we go but also that we may have found something that caused a tight lid of security to be clamped down, I recommend this book as a valuable addition to the library of anyone interested in space anomalies."

5.0 out of 5 stars Is the Moon draining our energy? 4 Jun 2014
Format:Paperback
Australian Louis Proud, has accomplished a lengthy job of research on the subject of our nearest celestial neighbour and presented it in a well written summary with his own interesting conclusions derived from a combination of historic, scientific, and metaphysical information.

He was clearly prompted in his study by exposure to the teachings of the enigmatic early 20th century mystic G.I. Gurdjieff who said, essentially, that life and death on Earth serve as “food for the Moon.” Proud has expanded on this idea with some very fascinating suggestions.

The first half of the book is an in-depth account of mankind’s experience, historically and contemporaneously, with our close satellite. It includes information from literature and film, from astronomy and cosmology, natural and earth sciences, ancient history and mythology, and, of course, from space exploration.

We find that lunar experiments have shown that when impacted, the Moon “rings like a bell.” Could it be hollow? Proud and others ask. Can it be mined? Is it a source of water that could provide fuel for future spacecraft? Are certain surface features evidence of tunnels beneath the crust? Is it now, or has it in the past, been inhabited by other beings? Some see anomalies in NASA lunar photos and also question certain statements by returning astronauts seeming to imply there are constructions on the far side of the sphere… the side we never see directly from Earth.

But, the most puzzling question is the exact origin of the Moon. Proud cites numerous theories of where the Moon came from and why it’s now in Earth orbit. Was it captured from elsewhere in our solar system? Was it dislodged from Earth?

This book is amazing! It is very well researched and Louis does a great job detailing the moons history with our civilization. He covers all angles from UFO's, supposed moon landings to the moons effect on the body! I honesty wasn't sure I would enjoy the book but after chapter 1 I was hooked! If you are into reading about the strange universe in which we live this book be right up your alley.

This book is a must read for those whose interests lie in the paranormal but appreciate the value of keeping a sceptical, yet open, mind toward both the scientific and the paranormal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Much Better Than expected. 13 Jan 2014

The title of this book caught my interest but one just does not know. I found myself very interested and anxious to move on to the next chapter. Would recommend this book. A rare subject matter that deserves more investigation. At first, wondering if any of the "facts" could be true but by the end of the book found myself wondering why they were probable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A stimulating read 15 Feb 2014
By Daniel J. Neiman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
We see the moon up in the sky everyday. It's the biggest and brightest object at night, but what do we really know about the moon? In this book, Louis Proud takes you on a journey of discovery filled with a plentiful amount of scientific data, a few archetypal stories, and fascinating speculations and alternative theories about the moon. Proud has really done his homework on this one. The references are plentiful as he critically examines various theories about the moon's origins and the presence of intelligent life on the moon. Is the moon a completely natural object? If not, who manipulated it? What is our relationship to the moon? Is there, or has there ever been an alien presence there? These and many other questions are explored in a good amount of detail in the book. Prepare to have your mind expanded. This book is Moontastic!
5.0 out of 5 stars The book provides a good addition to my collection of moon-subjects 5 July 2014
By Floyd Barlow - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I'm a Mississippi country boy, accustom to staring at the moon; this book is, at a minimum, intriguing? The book provides a good addition to my collection of moon-subjects. I place it right next to "Who Built The Moon?" Again Thanks . . .
