Now don't get me wrong, the boxset is reasonably priced for all 3 series of a great show.
The 3 DVDs are held in a semi-solid case which is a nice holder to keep them together, and is quite pretty to look at.
Each of the series' has 8 episodes split into 2 discs, which makes it easier to watch episodes consecutively without having to keep fumbling around with your DVD player.
Unfortunately, there are no guides to any of the episodes on the disc's, so you'll have to remember which episode is which if you want to watch a particular one. Also the only 'special features' you'll find is the option of having subtitles.
The biggest disappointment in this item, however, is that much of the soundtrack for the series' is different from the broadcast show. Apparently this is due to the "high licensing costs of the popular music", understandable certainly, but it was an unwelcome surprise when playing the first episode of the 3rd series, when instead of hearing the familiar buzz of the opening of Shirley Bassie's 'Spinning Wheel' instead you get a slightly jazzed-up electro-bounce which doesn't suit the action at all...
This is turns out to be the standard for all 3 DVDs: music which doen't suit the visuals.
Personally I think that it's still worth the purchase, but it gets only 3 stars from me due to the off-putting music. Especially when it was the fun and apt soundtrack which made me fall in love with the show in the first place.
However (and most importanly) it is still a fabulous, original show with beautiful costumes, well-written scripts and interesting characters.
Decently priced, just beware the soundtrack.
