Product Description

[Menage Amour: Erotic Cowboy Paranormal Menage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, shape-shifters] Kate Bullion’s chance to surprise her grandmother for the holidays goes awry when, instead of Gran, she comes face-to-face with twins Rance and Troy Keekoti, her childhood best friends. They’ve grown up into two very sexy men, but pain from their past still stings Kate. Rance and Troy have never forgotten Kate--the girl of their dreams, now a woman they crave to possess. Yet tribal law prevents them from coming clean with her about their true nature as shifters. They can’t resist being near her, though, no matter what the risk. Kate bakes some of Gran’s famous cookies for Rance and Troy, but what none of them know is that one of the ingredients magically lowers inhibitions in humans. In the twins, it unleashes primal urges that scorch her to the core. Will she be able to let go of old pain and choose the love of her two wolf-shifters? ** A Siren Erotic Romance

3.0 out of 5 stars Something lacking 26 Feb 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Sorry to say that I can only rate this story as 'okay'. For me personally I found that there was something lacking in it - mainly a failure to connect me with the main characters. I ended up not really caring what happened to the three of them, which is a crying shame, because I think this could have been a great story with a bit more work on it. There just wasn't enough detail about the main characters and how they were 'feeling', or how the events unfolding affected them. To be honest, I ended up skipping quite a lot of the story.

For me, it just wasn't worth the amount I paid for it. I've read better stories for less money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wowzers! 30 Jan 2011

I love the writings of Kris Cook. He is one of my favorite erotic authors. I will not retype the synposis but tell you why I loved this book and his writing. The story is powerful and I love twins :) Rance and Troy are fantastic alpha characters and are different in their own ways that would make any lady blush. Kate was a character I could identify with and I loved the progression of her character. It's a quick read that will make you want to read more by this author if you already haven't fallen in love with his characters! His Eternally Three series is equally "hot and well written." Happy reading :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Hot Read 28 Jan 2011

The teenage trio known as The Three Musketeers have certainly done a lot of growing up since the last time twins Troy and Rance had seen Kate. It was one fateful summer night which had officially torn them apart, now several years later, it's tribal laws that prevent the twins from recapturing what they once had with Kate and taking it to the next level. Troy and Rance stayed in the quiet Texas town, but Kate couldn't take the apparent rejection she felt from them, so she ran... also known as going off to college. Now she's back to surprise visit her Gran, but just like that summer when she was a teenager, fate has decided to intervene again.

With a dose of magic, Ms. Cook writes a fast paced reunion with lots of lusty encounters. The dialogue between the characters during those intensely sexual moments will leave you panting, since no desire is left unchecked or quiet. Readers who adore wolf shifters will love these twin alphas with their Texas drawl.

If you're in the market for for an enjoyably quick and dirty read then look no further. Ms. Cook has you covered with writing that will leave mental images you'll be wanting to try out. Oh and she adds a great recipe for some cookies that are sure to help put you in the mood.

A little silly but pretty hot....although, if she is supposed to be their mate I don't get how the Tribe can forbid it....wolves mate for life and if "the one" is not of the tribe it should not matter. And while I don't mind explicit "dirty talk"...this one almost seemed like it tried too hard with seemed almost harsh (can't think of a better word at the moment) all in all probably more of a 2.5 but not enough to round it up to three
4.0 out of 5 stars Drugging the werewolves you want to "do" is probably A Bad Thing, but if it gets them in your bed... 3 Feb 2012

Book 1 of "Texas Wolf Pack". No further books at the time of this review.

Kate always wondered what went wrong between her, Rance and Troy. They were her BFFs, and then they stopped talking to her. Back at Gran's for the holidays she's determined to find some answers and maybe even put her past behind her. And she even has some time to bake a batch of "special" cookies...

- Contemporary paranormal (shape shifting, magic) set on a ranch with explicit sex including a threesome.
- 1673 kindle locations, 19,526 words
- m/f, m/f/m - frequent, explicit, reasonably dominant . Very talkative. No m/m (brothers). Aiming for a committed threesome.

Well, that was different. A drug induced Lust Imperative results in a two day lovefest. That's it. Not much plot, a little background story, and a whole lotta sex. And yet it works. Plenty of m/f as she tries out the boys, and a hot threesome, a little emotional climax and we're done. Fun little erotic story.

Similar books - she returns and finds out the boy(s) she loved are really wolves:
- White Wolf by Jianne Carlo. The brother of her BFF is a wolf, and the Sheriff. Together they need to solve the murder of her parents.
- Wild Hearts by Rhea Regale. Shyla returns to sort out her Grandfather's estate only to find Jacy and Coal are not only werewolves, but so is she. Interesting start to a series.
- Her Full Moon Cowboys by J. Rose Allister. Not only is the boy Lily had a crush on a wolf, but his Ranch Partner is his Alpha, they intend to share her, and she's a rarity in werewolf society - a "Breeder". Now Everyone wants a piece of her.

As reviewed on kinkybookreviews dot com:
Kate Bullion just finished college and came home to surprise her Grandmother for Christmas, but Gran isn't there. When she comes face to face with her best friends from childhood, the feelings of hurt and betrayal resurface. Kate doesn't understand why, in their teens, the boys suddenly cut off their friendship and avoided her. But the one thing she does know is that she never stopped wanting them.

Rance and Troy have a secret. They are shifters and the rules of their pack are to never tell anyone outside of their pack. They are also expected to mate with only other shifters. When the attraction between them flares up again, are Rance and Troy willing to put aside the rules of their pack for the one girl they've always wanted?

This was the first book by Kris Cook I've ever read. I must say I enjoyed it. It was a funny, sexy read. The characters were interesting and the storyline was just different enough to keep things moving. There was a lot of sex... It was nice and steamy sex. It fit with the story line, but there was still a lot. :) Considering the length of the book, when it took 4 pages to get from where Troy told her he was going to um... go down on her (he was a bit more descriptive) until there was any oral action, I was a bit surprised. ... Yes, 4 pages... and in those 4 pages, he told her he was going to do it 3 more times. I guess he thought she should hear it a few times so she was prepared.

Being 70 pages, it's a pretty quick read. I actually wish there was a bit more information. The ending seemed a bit rushed to me. Also, the writing was a bit on the purple side. Some of the phrases had me cracking up. Luckily, it didn't take me too far out of the story when I found them.

Bottom line is, if you're looking for a fun easy read, I'd check out this book. I'm hoping that there will be another one in the Texas Wolf Pack series sometime in the future. I think it would be interesting to see where the stories go.
