This is one of the best reviews of World War II that I have seen. Henri Michel examines the War from a social and economic atandpoint and looks at the situations facing each side and why they were forced to make the strange and far reaching strategic decisions that they did. Michel looks at it from the point of national decision making.
He made me realise that the USA used machines to wage war and were therefore one war ahead of their opponents. I had this book years ago and gave it to my Father. It disappeared amongst his thing after he died and my sisters went through the house. That is why I am on the hunt for another one. Buy it, read it, it is one of the most interesting accounts of the war that I have ever seen. If you dont like it, I will buy your copy from you.
