As a second wife, I read this book and could relate to the characters. I found it funny and enlightening. I personally enjoyed it but as I havent read any of Jane Moore's other books, I didnt have any preconceived idea's of how it should be.

Like the first reviewer, I like Jane Moore and think she is funny and clever. This book however is not. I trudged through it dearly hoping it would get better,it didnt. I wish I had gone with my gut and given up on it after chaper 1. It is cliched dull and on a par with a bad Mills and Boon. My advice - don't bother. Sorry Jane

If you're a 2nd wife/ 2nd long term partner then this is a complete must read. Jane Moore captures the real emitions of having to be 2nd best to partners needs and previous relationships in a hilarious manner which will make you not want to put it down. With wonderful realistic charaters like the flamboyant Juile. This is a defiant 5* read.

Really good, this is the first Jane Moore book I've read but will definately read more. Witty, fast paced, a very good escape from reality.
