Like Mrs. Kinzel's 'First Book of Modern Lace Knitting' a must-have. The patterns may at first appear out of date, but they represent some of the classics within lace knitting, e.g. English Rose. No seriuos lace knitter should be without it. A collection of patterns, some of which appeared earlier as leaflets. Each with a picture of the project, clear instructions by the author, explicite pattern charts and suggestions for variations the knitter might want to do.

This book is a continuation of "First Book of Modern Lace Knitting" and if anything the designs are even more exquisite than they were in the first book. Neither is for the beginner but any lace knitter will enjoy the book which has the most wonderful all lace tablecloths and household linen.The book is a joy to look at and read and the instructions are clear and well presented.

The Second Book of Lace Knitting by Marianne Kinzel
I owned this book and its earlier companion in the first editions. I have knitted several of the patterns up as tablecloths and also as Christening Shawls. At least two of these are now family heirlooms - they were knitted in the mid-seventies- and are now running into the third generation. They are still considered exquisite in design.
